Access Tax includes an Excel Import feature for the Partnership tax return Statement of Distribution. You can import Statement of Distribution data directly from Excel to reduce manual data entry and improve efficiency.
đNote: The Excel Import feature is only available for Item 54 - Statement of Distribution within the Partnership Tax Return.
Import options
When importing data, you can choose one of two options:
Import your own Excel file - use an existing spreadsheet and map its columns to the corresponding Statement of Distribution fields during the import process. This option suits firms that already have their own data templates.
Use the pre-mapped Partnership Template - download and use the Access Tax template, which is already mapped to the required fields. No manual column mapping is required, making this the faster and simpler option.
Download the Partnership Template
To use the pre-mapped template provided by Access Tax:
Open the Partnership tax return and navigate to Item 54 - Statement of Distribution.
Click into any editable field in Item 54, then click Download Partnership Template.
Save the Excel template to your local machine.
Populate the template with the required Statement of Distribution details.
Return to Access Tax and follow the steps in the Import data from Excel section below.
đ¤Tip: Because the template is pre-mapped, no additional column mapping is required during the import process.
