If your business structure has changed and the ATO have issued a new Tax Agent Number (TAN), you will need to:
Submit a query using the Finance Digital Assistant.
Add the Tax Agent into Access Tax.
Submit a query
Log in to MyAccess.
Click Ask a question, then click Get Help.
Use the Digital Assistant within the Finance Help Centre to submit your query.
Provide the following information:
Your Client Reference Code.
The new Tax Agent Name and Tax Agent Number.
Any associated documentation.
Indicate the HandiTax years you need updated.
The Revenue Cycle/Billing team will process your changes and you can then add the agent in Access Tax.
Add another Tax Agent Number in Access Tax
Log in to Access Tax.
Select the Settings Cog to access the Practice Settings.
Select the Agents tab.
Click +Add an Agent.
Fill in the Agent number, Agent Name, and other required details, such as BSB, Account Number, Account Name, and ABN, and checkbox options.
The Credit Agent A/C and Fee from Refund allows you to select how the agent's fee is paid.
If the clients' tax returns prepared by this agent are lodged by another agent, select Shared Facility User.
To send the details to the ATO, select Update ATO details and enter your password.
To edit existing agent details, click on the Agent's name, which will open Edit Agent.
Click Save.
