To improve system performance, wildcard searching is no longer supported when searching for clients in Access Tax. This change reduces delays caused by broad search requests.
Search for a client
When searching for a client, enter the name from the beginning of the client record.
For example:
If the client is named "The Jones Family Trust", searching for "The Jones" will return the client.
Searching for "Jones" will not return "The Jones Family Trust".
Searching for "Family Trust" will not return "The Jones Family Trust".
To find a client successfully, start your search with the first words of the client name as it appears in Access Tax.
Why this changed
Wildcard searches were slowing down the system and impacting search performance. Requiring searches to begin with the start of the client name improves search speed and overall system responsiveness.
