The Software ID identifies your software, similar to a serial number. This ID provides the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) with your software ID and ensures your software can connect directly to ATO to lodge tax returns - keeping your information safe and secure. Your Software ID is unique to your practice and has no expiry date.
You can locate your Software ID through your practice settings within Tax.
Log in to Tax.
Click on the Settings icon.
The Practice Settings window, under the General tab, will display your Software ID.
If you are required to notify the ATO of your Software ID follow the listed steps.
